This year, 2011, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the amazing Wednesday night weekly staple, and we are re-branding the Party Monster and Club Party Monster brands with fresh new electro sounds by Keoki infused with Dj Scotto's perfectly selected Dubstep and breaks all while paying homage to the glory days and songs of the past thrown in for reference. Very proud to be showing a special enhanced screening of the official LIMELIGHT MOVIE and documentary. Scotto shot a large portion of the footage in the film looking back at the early 90's and the NYC club and rave epicenter we are pulling all the stops out for the Baltimore/DC edition of MASKARAVE PARTY MONSTER!!!!!! PLEASE NOTE: THE PARADOX DOES NOT HAVE A LIQUOR LICENSE, HOWEVER WE HAVE APPLIED FOR A ONE DAY TEMP PERMIT TO SERVE FOR THIS EVENT. IF THE CITY APPROVES OUR PERMIT, WE WILL CLOSE AT 2 BUT HAVE A FULL CASH BAR AVAILABLE TO ANYONE OVER 21. IF WE DO NOT GET APPROVED TO SERVE WE WILL STAY OPE NMUCH LATER TIL 4AM. SPECIALSHOW ON SUNDAY OCT 30TH AT PARADOX IN BALTIMORE
Here's the history:
Oct 30, 1992: Held at the original Sound
Factory space (now Twilo, now closed), MASKARAVE™ was put together by SCOTTO, MOBY,
DB,and Marcy Weber (MOBY's manager) and was the first NASA concert production outside
of the Shelter. It featured the original NASA Dj roster, DB, Ani, Jason Jinx, Mr.Kleen,
and SoulSlinger with live performances by ALTERN 8 from ENGLAND and MOBY. over 3200
attended this CMJ event in the pouring down rain. # 2.
Oct 30, 1993: It was held at the New York
Coliseum ( now torn down) where we not only sold out the room - but No one had that
kind of attendance at the Coliseum since the WHO played there in 1977! MASKARAVE
Featured our official launch of the NASA U.S. tour "See the Light" with
live shows from MOBY, APHEX TWIN, ORBITAL, and VAPOURSPACE and DJ's Josh Wink, D'mitry
of Dee-lite, Adam X, Heather Heart, Mark Spoon, Dj Tim of the Utah Saints, and the
NASA Dj's rounding it off. Of course, like #1, it rained like cats ad dogs. # 3 Sat Oct 29, 1994: held at the TUNNEL NYC
featuring MOBY, 187, David Morales, Trace, ODi, Joe Joe, James Christian, Nigel Richards,
Sameer, Joeski and NASA Dj's, and sold out the Tunnel with a fabulous, well-costumed
crowd until noon the next day! #4
Oct. 27, 1995: Sold out concert at the legendary
PALLADIUM - over 5500 people - featuring 1.8.7.and the original Ready To Rock Breakdancers,
the Funky Tekno Tribe ( DJ DAN, Grahm, Barry Weaver) Frankie Bones, David Hollands
(1st NYC gig), the talented Randall Jones, Trace and ODI. Tihs has got to be one
of my favorite places, too bad it's been torn down to make NYU dorms called, "PALLADUIM
HALL". Can you believe it? What a beautiful landmark the PALLADUIM was! #5 Oct. 31, 1996: held at Mirage, now EXIT.
The event featured a hybrid show that SCOTTO put together featuring MC KINKY (of
BOY GEORGE fame) and 1.8.7. playing live together and MC JAMALSKI. also, Dj's scott
richmond, mr. kleen, Geoffe, Randall, house producer Cevin Fisher,Aldo Bender and
others. 3500 attended. #6
Oct. 31, 1997: held again at the Tunnel (like
#3) featured a rare Dj show by Little Louie Vega, Dj Funk, Jim Hopkins, Osheen, Joeski,
Sammeer, Liquid Todd and JAESUN of K-Rock, Alex Lauderstien, Dara, Christian Bruna
and Beau, Strech Armstrong, Rob Paine, Kevin Aviance and others to a crowd of 6,200 #7

Oct. 31, 1998: the official NASA re-Union held at the Skate Key in the Bronx featuring MOBY, DB, JASON JINX, ANI, Jackie Christie, Mr. Kleen, 1.8.7.,TRACE, Scott Henry, Chris Trope and a live show by DUBTRIBE SOUND SYSTEM this was my favorite old skool night out ever! What a way to cristen a new rave venue, the skate key!!
#8 was booked at the legendary STUDIO 54 NYC

OCTOBER 28th, 2000: held at the TUNNEL just like #3, #6 this made up for a lost year this venue just works well for us, what can I say! Randall Jones and Deep C tore it up along with Hardfloor from Germany and Johnny Vicious of Vicious Muzik NYC. Over 3,500 attended our shindig and even more came out for the LOGIC trance float in the halloween parade on the 31st.
#10 was to be just after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, so it was postponed. the following halloween we were in phily
OCTOBER 29th, 30th, 31st 2010: Maskarave mini tour, NYC, Philly and Baltimore featuring Dmitry of Deelite, Junior Sanchez and Alexander Technique, Hot Pink Delorean, Frankie Bones, Endboss, Joeski, Odi, Scotto, Rob Bamboo Cifre, Skeet, Atom C, Joe Kopasek, Dj Who, Chris Bulla, Smash Gordon, Newmann, Alex Rossi, Cannon Boys, 2Rip, Willie B and the Paradox/Baltimore show was sold out!
